Sam Hurwitt is a Berkeley native and got his B.A. in Philosophy & Religion at San Francisco State before losing his religion elsewhere. His short fiction can be found in The Misfit Library, Fourteen Hills, and the Doubleday anthology Voices of the Xiled, and his nonfiction has been published in Salon, Variety, the textbook Sex and Relationships: An Anthology, the San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner, East Bay Express, and other rags from the Austin Chronicle to the Budapest Sun.
